there where pears grow.
December
is peak season for liqueur, there where holiday parties abound.
Now,
is the perfect time to try out this beverage recipe, allowing you to take
advantage of the peaks of both seasons.
Pear
Liqueur
As tested and enjoyed by the DabLab.
- 3 pears
(you choose the variety)
- 2 cups
sugar
- 1/2 cup
boiling water
- 1 orange,
sliced peel (zest) only
- 3 whole
cloves
- 1/2 tsp.
whole coriander
- 1/2 tsp.
ground cinnamon
- 1 whole
peppercorn
- 2 cups
vodka
- Dice pears,
removing the seeds.
- Place
pears in a glass jar along with the spices, orange peel and vodka.
- Cover
the jar and set aside for 2 weeks, in room temperature, away from bright
light.
- Strain
the mixture.
- Dissolve
the sugar in the water and add to the strained mixture.
- Cover
and set aside for 2 weeks.
- Enjoy.
